There's something special about a good cup of LK "Moerkoffie". Inspired by South African tradition, our rich coffee-and-chicory blend is made to be enjoyed slowly, preferably with a little sweetened condensed milk and someone special to share the moment.
Your LK Moerkoffie Ritual
What you'll need:
- LK Moerkoffie
- LK French Press (plunger), 350 ml
- LK Coffee Spoon
- LK Glass Coffee Mug
- Hot water
- Sweetened condensed milk
Let's Make Your Perfect Cup!
1. One scoop of happiness
Using your Coffee Spoon, add one scoop of Moerkoffie to your French Press (plunger). One scoop is all you need for one cup.
2. Add the hot water
Pour hot water, just off the boil, into your LK French Press (plunger). Add enough for your cup, leaving space at the top.
3. Let the magic happen
Place the lid on, keeping the plunger raised. Allow your Moerkoffie to brew for approximately 4 minutes.
4. Press gently
Slowly push down the plunger to separate the coffee grounds from your delicious brew.
5. A little condensed milk magic
Add sweetened condensed milk to your Glass Coffee Mug. Start with a little and adjust to your preferred sweetness.
6. Pour, stir and enjoy
Pour your freshly brewed Moerkoffie into your Glass Coffee Mug. Stir gently to combine the coffee and condensed milk.
Now sit back, relax and enjoy!
Don't Forget Your Coffee Bag!
Your LK Coffee Spoon isn't just a measuring spoon. It also has a handy clip!
Once you've measured your coffee, fold the top of your Moerkoffie bag and secure it with the clip attached to your Coffee Spoon.

The Traditional Stovetop Alternative
Prefer the traditional pot-brewed ritual? Prepare your Moerkoffie in a stovetop-safe pot, following the brewing quantities and timing on your pack. Do not place your French Press (plunger) or Glass Coffee Mug directly on the stove.
Once brewed, remove the pot from the heat and allow the grounds to settle. Pour slowly into your Glass Coffee Mug, leaving the grounds behind in the pot, or use a fine strainer.
Add sweetened condensed milk to taste, stir gently and enjoy.
